A Jefferson County jury has recommended the death penalty for Larry Lamont White, 56, Black. White was found guilty in the death of Pamela Armstrong, 22, who was raped and shot on June 4, 1983. Within weeks of Armstrong's murder, White killed two other women: Yolanda Sweeney, 21, and Deborah Miles, 22. White had already been convicted of those two murders. Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge James Shake, who presided over White's trial, will formally sentence him in September.
