USA - Louisiana. The House Criminal Justice Committee rejects SB 142 to end the death penalty.

The Louisiana House Committee on the Administration of Criminal Justice voted 9-8 to defeat HB 101, which would have prospectively abolished the state's death penalty. An identical bill had previously passed the State Senate Judiciary Committee by a vote of 6-1.
