USA - Missouri. A jury decided that Michael Tisius be sentenced to death
1 MIN READ
At the end of retrial, a jury decided that Michael Tisius be sentenced to death for the June 22, 2000 deaths of Randolph County jailers Jason Acton and Leon Egley. The 2 men were killed after Tisius, 29, white, and the girlfriend of inmate Roy Vance unsuccessfully tried to free Vance. Tisius was sentenced to death in 2001 after a St. Charles County jury convicted him in Boone County Circuit Court. Last week’s retrial concerned only Tisius' sentence, not the conviction. Tisius did not testify on his own behalf.
