USA - Nebraska. Judges have sentenced Roy Ellis to death

Judges have sentenced Roy Ellis to death for murdering 12-year-old Amber Harris. Ellis was convicted in April of 1st-degree murder for abducting and killing Harris after she got off a school bus in November 2005. (see Apr. 28, 2008). Ellis now joins 10 others on Nebraska death row. But executions in the State are on hold. Last year the Nebraska Supreme Court ruled that the electric chair, the state's only means of execution, is unconstitutional (see Feb. 8, 2008).
