USA - New Hampshire. Judge Kathleen McGuire sentenced Michael Addison to death.
Michael Addison, 28, black, is now officially the first person sentenced to death in New Hampshire in nearly 50 years. Judge Kathleen McGuire delivered the jury's verdict today. A Hillsborough County jury issued the death sentence for Addison on Dec. 18 for fatally shooting police officer Michael Briggs on Oct. 16, 2006.
