USA - New Hampshire. The House approved HB 147 to expand the state's death penalty

The House approved HB 147 to expand the state's death penalty laws to include home invasion murders. Speaker of the House William O'Brien is the prime sponsor of the bill. He called for a voice vote as soon as it was brought up for debate. The voice vote leaves no record of who supported or opposed passage. The bill now goes to the Senate. (see also March 9, and Jan. 7)
