USA - North Carolina. A jury sentenced Tony Savalis Summers, 36, black, to death

A Guilford County jury sentenced Tony Savalis Summers, 36, black, to death. Summers was convicted last week in the Nov. 7, 2006, stabbing death of Lavell Williams at her  apartment. Williams’ 3 children, ages 16, 11 and 5 at the time, were home and were forced to watch their mother be repeatedly raped, according to testimony. The 2 oldest were also stabbed but survived.
