A Wood County jury recommended the death penalty for Calvin Neyland Jr.. The same jury last week convicted Neyland of two counts of aggravated murder. Neyland was found guilty of gunning down manager Doug Smith and retired state trooper Thomas Lazar in August 2007. Lazar had been sent to the trucking company office to help fire Neyland.
