Federal Judge Gregory L. Frost granted a temporary restraining order delaying Romell Broom's execution until after a Nov. 30 hearing in the U.S. District Court in Columbus. Broom's lawyers are arguing that the ordeal left their client too traumatized for a 2nd attempt and that the state does not have the right to try again. The attorneys also are arguing that the state needs to come up with a better method of execution.
