USA - Ohio. Hersie R. Wesson 51, black, was sentenced to death
Hersie R. Wesson 51, black, was sentenced to death for the Feb. 25, 2008 killing of Emil Varhola, 81, and wounding of his wife, Mary, 77, during a burglary. Wesson received the death penalty from a panel of three Summit County Common Pleas judges. Presiding Judge Thomas A. Teodosio said the decision was unanimous.
