The U.S. Supreme Court in a 9-0 decision has reinstated the death penalty against Robert Van Hook, 49, an Ohio man who confessed killing David Self in 1985, rejecting a claim that his lawyers erred during the sentencing phase of his trial. In its ruling today, the high court reversed a ruling by the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.
