USA - Oklahoma. A jury recommended the death penalty for Alton Nolen

A Cleveland County jury recommended the death penalty for Alton Nolen, 33, Black, a man convicted of beheading a co-worker. Nolen was convicted of 1st-degree murder in the September 2014 beheading of 54-year-old Colleen Hufford. 43-year-old Traci Johnson was also attacked. She was treated at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center for multiple stab wounds and survived her injuries. Nolen tried to plead guilty in the case prior to trial and asked to be executed. Cleveland County District Judge Lori Walkley declined to accept his plea.
