USA - Oregon. A jury sentenced Isacc Creed Agee, 33, white, to death

A Marion County jury has determined Isacc Creed Agee, 33, white, should be sentenced to death. Agee, an Oregon State Penitentiary inmate, killed another prisoner, 36-year-old Antonio Barrantes-Vasquez, in his prison cell on February 14, 2008. The same jury that convicted Agee of aggravated murder earlier this month decided to impose the death sentence in the penalty phase of the trial in Salem. Prosecutors asked for the death penalty because Agee is already serving a sentence for attempted murder. Marion County Judge Pamela Abernethy, who will hand down the jury’s verdict, set the sentencing for another date.
