USA - Oregon. Judge Charles Zennache formally sentenced David Ray Taylor to death

Lane County Circuit Judge Charles Zennache formally sentenced David Ray Taylor, 58, White, to death today. Taylor becomes the 35th person on Oregon's death row at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem. A jury decided last week (see May 15) Taylor should be executed for the August 2012 kidnapping and murder of Celestino Gutierrez. According to prosecutors, Taylor killed Gutierrez, 22, for his car as part of a bank robbery plot.
