A Lancaster County jury returned a verdict of death against Leeton Thomas. Thomas, 40, Black, will be formally sentenced Friday morning by Lancaster County President Judge Dennis Reinaker. Thomas killed Lisa Scheetz and her 16-year-old daughter and nearly killed Scheetz' 15-year-old daughter in an early-morning knife attack inside Scheetz's home on June 11, 2015. The now 17-year-old, who was the sole survivor of the attack, was severely injured. PennLive is withholding her name due to the circumstances of the case. The attack was designed to rub out witnesses against Thomas in an upcoming child molestation trial, prosecutors have said.
