A Monroe County jury sentenced Charles Ray Hicks to death. Hicks, 40, Black, was found guilty of killing 36-year-old Deanna Null, then cutting up her body and dumping it, wrapped in garbage bags, along interstate highways in January 2008. Hicks has told investigators he and Null engaged in a drug-fueled sexual relationship.
