Monroe County Judge Margherita Worthington formally sentenced Michael Parrish, 26, white, to death. Last month, a jury found Parrish guilty of fatally shooting ex-girlfriend Victoria Adams, 21, and 19-month-old son Sidney on the night of July 6, 2009. That same jury on April 2 (see) decided Parrish should get the death penalty. According to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections website there are 202 people listed on death row, not including Parrish. The last person executed in Pennsylvania was Gary Heidnik in 1999.
