USA - Texas. A jury sentenced Harlem Lewis III, 23, Black, to death

An Harris County jury sentenced Harlem Lewis III, 23, Black, to death. Lewis was convicted of killing Police Corporal Jimmie Norman and Terry Taylor after fleeing from a traffic stop on Dec. 24, 2012. After a high-speed chase, Lewis stopped in the parking lot. As Norman struggled to get Lewis out of his car, Taylor came out and tried to help. Jurors saw dashboard camera video from Norman's patrol car that showed Lewis fighting with the officer, then shooting him once in the head and a second later, shooting Taylor in the neck.
