The House preliminarily approved SB 1697, a measure to keep the names of execution drug providers from the public. Lawmakers passed the measure via voice vote without debate Monday. The Senate passed the plan last week, and a final House vote is now all that's needed to send it to Gov. Greg Abbott to be signed into law.
