The Marshall Project launches a powerful new initiative, The Next to Die. In partnership with five newsrooms – The Tampa Bay Times, Houston Chronicle, Tulsa Frontier, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and AL.com – we have created the first comprehensive, up-to-date schedule of executions in the United States. Featuring real-time tracking of every upcoming execution, an embeddable, responsive widget, and profiles of the men and women scheduled to die, The Next to Die humanizes those on death row and shines a light on a lethal issue that is too often shrouded in secrecy. The next man scheduled to die is Richard Glossip, whose case on the constitutionality of Oklahoma's lethal injection protocol came before the U.S. Supreme Court this year. He is currently slated to be executed by the state of Oklahoma in 6 days and 55 minutes.
