Fairfax County Judge Jonathan Thatcher imposed the death penalty on Mark E. Lawlor, 45, white. Judge Thatcher agreed with a March 16 (see) jury's recommendation that Lawlor should be sentenced to death for bludgeoning 29-year-old Genevieve Orange, who went by "Gini" to death in September 2008.
