The Senate Courts of Justice Committee voted 7-6 to advance Senate Bill 1393 to prevent public disclosure of nearly every aspect of the drugs used in lethal-injection executions. The bill is sponsored by Sen. Richard L. Saslaw, D, and supported by Gov. Terry McAuliffe's administration. It now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
