USA - Virginia. The Senate passed bill HB 815 allowing the use of the electric chair

The Senate passed bill HB 815 allowing the use of the electric chair if lethal injection drugs cannot be obtained. The vote was 22-17. A similar bill passed the House earlier. Because of differences with House version, bill must be conferenced and passed before going to governor. The bill passed the House Courts of Justice Committee on a 14-7 vote on March 2, the full House of Delegates 62-33 on February 10, the Senate Courts of Justice Committee on a 9-5 vote on March 2.
