Vo Van Viet, a Vietnamese man, was sentenced to death for murder after dowsing his victim with gasoline and setting him on fire in a drunken dispute.

Vo Van Viet, a Vietnamese man, was sentenced to death for murder after dowsing his victim with gasoline and setting him on fire in a drunken dispute. Viet, 47, was found guilty by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court for the crime committed in September 2002. The court heard that Viet was drunk on rice wine at the time of the incident. His victim, who suffered extensive burns, died immediately.
