VIETNAM. TWO DRUG TRAFFICKERS SENTENCED TO DEATH

the People's Court of northern Phu Tho province, Vietnam, sentenced to death two women for trafficking and possessing drugs. The court also handed down life sentences to three local people and sentences of 2-20 years to seven others. The 12 people, including nine women, were convicted of trafficking nearly 2.3 kg of heroin in the capital city of Hanoi and the northern provinces of Son La, Phu Tho and Ha Tay.
