With the adoption on April 22 a resolution on the situation in Cuba after its emergency debate, the European Parliament again called on the Cuban authorities to immediately release all political detainees. It was pleased to note the release of Julio Antonio Valdes for health reasons and was waiting for the Cuban authorities to decree a new de facto moratorium on the death penalty.
