Yang Xiaojian was sentenced to death for raping nine women taxi drivers in 40 days.
He had flagged down cabs driven by women and asked to be taken to remote places, where he assaulted the women and took obscene pictures of them. He had also forced drugs on the women before robbing and raping them, the China Youth Daily reported. In little more than a month, he committed 12 robberies and raped nine woman cabbies.
Yang, who had a previous record for robbery, was given the death penalty the previous week in the eastern Zhejiang province.
