YEMEN. DEATH SENTENCE FOR YAHAR MOSQUE ATTACK

the Yahar Primary Court in Lahj, Yemen, sentenced Mohsen Yahia Munassar to death for the shooting at Yahar mosque, a legal source said. The court judge Nasir Abdan issued the death penalty for the murder of seven students and their teacher while attending a summer course on holy Quran teachings. Munassar was also fined YR 325,275 as a compensation for two other wounded students. He immediately appealed the verdict.
