the Supreme Court sitting in Ndola, Zambia, upheld the death sentences of two cousins who were convicted of killing their employer. The cousins, Francis Mwansa and Danny Chipulu of Chipulukusu Township, appealed against the conviction and death sentence for aggravated robbery and murder of Bravina Patel of Itawa Township in Ndola. On August 21, 2006, Steven Mukobe, Mwansa and Chipulu allegedly killed Mrs Patel while armed with weapons and stole household items and millions of Kwacha. The bench consisted of justices Dennis Chirwa, Sandson Silomba and Marvin Mwanamwambwa. Mukobe was acquitted by the trial judge because of insufficient evidence.
