Zoran Balinovac, Deputy Justice Minster of the Republic of Serbia said that "a law against terrorism is necessary in order for us to be able to react suitably and appropriately to the situation that our country is in, as well as to protect the constitutional order and our citizens." Serbian Public Prosecutor Dragisa Krsmanovic said that it was absurd to have a death sentence for murder but not for terrorist acts which kill dozens of people.
