24-year-old engineering student Amir bin Said was sentenced to death by a Saudi court for posting pictures of a snowman whose resemblance to prophet Mohammed caught the attention of Saudi authorities. Said posted the pictures of the bearded snowman on social media, moments after Saudi Arabia was hit by freezing temperatures covering the desert with a powdery snow cover. The 24-year-old was accused of blasphemy and idol worshiping. “The accused has insulted God, the prophet and our religion and will pay with his life accordingly to the Law”, the Saudi court judge said.
