A murderer, convicted of killing his son and wife, was publicly hanged in the northwestern city of Nir, in Iran's Ardabil Province.He was hanged after the state Supreme Court upheld the death sentence issued by a local tribunal.The murderer, who was addicted to illegal drugs, had killed his nine-year-old son and 28-year-old wife in February 2001.
