An appeals court in Ho Chi Minh City upheld a death sentence for Nguyen Thanh Long, 52, convicted last year of raping two girls

An appeals court in Ho Chi Minh City upheld a death sentence for Nguyen Thanh Long, 52, convicted last year of raping two girls. Long was arrested in 2001 after the mother of one girl, age 12, reported him to police. He was found guilty of repeatedly raping the girl in 1999 and 2000, and of raping a 14-year-old girl in 2001.
