An Iranian woman convicted for murder was hanged in public in the southwestern Lorestan province, the state IRNA news agency reported. Parvin Mirzael, 35, was hanged before a crowd of people in Kouhdasht, IRNA said, adding that "the people who gathered at the site of her execution were happy to see the murderer end up in the gallows."Mirzai had killed a 65-year-old women who she suspected knew about her plans to run away from home several years ago, the agency said.
