another Kurdish political prisoner, Reza Esmaili (Mamedi), 34 years old, was hanged in the prison of Salmas, reported Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA). He had been arrested in June 2009 and was sentenced to death on charge of “Enmity against the God” and “Cooperation with PJAK” by Khoy revolutionary court. According to this report, the authorities had buried his body without informing his family or lawyer in the graveyard of Salmas but his relatives and a number of Kurdish citizens took his body out and buried him in Derik village where he was originally from. After the family exhumed his body in order to transfer the corps to his hometown, clear signs of beating had been observed.
