A death-row convict was hanged at the Kashimpur Central High Security Jail in Gazipur on 22 January 2023 night.
Shukkur, 39, son of Khaer Uddin at Lalongar village under Doulatpur Thana in Kushtia, was sentenced to death in a rape and murder case.
The convict was hanged to death at 10.1 pm on January 22, Senior Jail Superintendent Subrata Kumar Bala confirmed the matter early morning.
The case was filed with Doulatpur Police Station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, according to jail authority.
