Daniel Hittle, 50, white, was executed by lethal injection

Daniel Hittle, 50, white, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing Gerald Walker, a policeman who had stopped him at a road block on 15th November 1989. He was the 39th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 238 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 81st to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 679 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
