Dozens of members of the City Forum (Forkot) rallied near former president Soeharto's residence on Jl. Cendana, Central Jakarta, demanding that the man whom they dubbed as a human rights violator be brought to court. The protesters said that the rally was staged to commemorate International Human Rights Day. As in their previous rallies, the group members - mostly students - marched toward Soeharto's residence while singing songs popular among student demonstrations. The protesters said that Soeharto deserved the death penalty for corruption and human rights violations during his 32-year tenure.
