Gary Miller, 33, white, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of raping and murdering a seven year old girl, April Marie Wilson, on 11th November 1988. He was the 38th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 237 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 80th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 678 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
