Amnesty International (AI) Ghana says it opposes the death penalty in all cases without exception, regardless of the nature of the crime, the characteristics of the offender or the method used to kill the prisoner.

Vincent Adzahlie-Mensah, Board Chairman of AI, said: "Everyone should be aware how the death penalty violates fundamental rights."
