Hamid Heydari was sentenced to death by Branch 12 of the Public Court in Shahr-e Rey for the murder of a member of the Basij Resistance Force. Others accused in the case were given prison sentences and lashes. According to the court ruling, the accused is to be given 80 lashes for the consumption of alcoholic drinks as receiving his execution at the scene he committed the murder.
