In accordance with law regarding a large smuggling case the Jiangmen City Intermediate People's Court held a public trial on Huang Guolin, a dismissed worker of customs, Fu Zhijian and Hu Yingcong, former staff members of the Taishan customs and sentenced them to death. They smuggled goods valued at more than 88m dollars and evaded a tax worth more than 17.6m yuan. Hu Yingcong was able to assist the public security organs in capturing the accomplices after he was arrested, and, due to his big contributions, was sentenced to death with a respite of two years and saved from being executed immediately.
