in India, the Principal District and Session Judge, Leh (Ladakh) Sanjay Parihar, has pronounced the death sentence to a accused namely Sonam Dorjay wherein it has been held that “accused first sexually assaulted the deceased which is proved from the injuries found over the private parts of the deceased, he did not stop but went to strangulate her to death. He (accused) had good acquaintance of deceased and had all opportunity to commit the crime which he did in most brutal, heinous and shameful act by committed rape on Mst. Tsomo than strangle her to death.”
