Justices VS Sirpurkar and Deepak Verma of the Indian Supreme Court commuted the death sentences of Dilip Narayan Tiwari, Manoj Paswan and Sunil Ramashray Yadav to 25 years imprisonment. The three killed Tiwari's brother-in-law Prabhu, a low caste Keralite, and his three relatives in Andheri, Mumbai, in 2004, because he married Tiwari's sister Sushma.
