8 executions in Raja’i Shahr Prison on August 29. The victims were identified as: Manouchehr Dehghani (Dehghan), Alireza Behrad, Ebrahim Yarmout Oghli, Ahmad Gharebalaei (Ghareh-Balaei), Reza Mousavi Baraghani (Borghani), Siavosh (Siavash) Inanlou, Mahmoud Mirzai (Mirzaei) and Alireza Araei. The first 6 were all sentenced to death for murder charges, the latter 2 for drug charges. According to Hrana, Mahmoud Mirzai and his cousin Alireza Araei, who were charged with “armed battery and drug trafficking” for possessing 22 kilograms of Morphine were taken to Raja’i Shahr Prison from Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj to be executed. The news of these executions has not been published by the Iranian media yet.
