Akbar Shahsavand executed in Isfahan on March 2.
According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was executed in Isfahan Central Prison (Dastgerd) on the morning of March 2. His identity has been established as Akbar Shahsavand, 36, sentenced to death for drug offences.
He was sentenced by the Revolutionary Court and had spent around four years behind bars.
Speaking to Iran Human Rights, a source said: “Another three prisoners are scheduled to be executed on drug charges next week. One of them who’s called Zobeid is an Afghan national.”
At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
