IRAN - Ali Obidavi sentenced to death

January 24, 2024 - Ali Obidavi sentenced to death. A political prisoner.
According to the Iranian Human Rights Society, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, political prisoner Ali Obidavi was sentenced to death and four years in prison by the Mahshahr Revolutionary Court.
His brother Hossein Obidavi was sentenced to 13 years in prison by the same court.
It is said that these two brothers arrested in 2019 on charges of attacking the Basij base in Hamidiyeh city. Both brothers are imprisoned in Mahshahr prison. There is no information about their profile and the details of their case.
