IRAN - Amin Ali-Panahi executed in Shiraz on 29 December 2021

Amin Ali-Panahi executed in Shiraz Central Prison on 29 December 2021. According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man, identified as Amin Ali-Panahi, was executed in Shiraz Central Prison on 29 December 2021. He had been sentenced for murder. An informed source told Iran Human Rights: “Amin Ali-Panahi was arrested on charges of murder four years ago. He was accused of killing his wife’s cousin over honour issues nine months after getting married. He was unsuccessful in obtaining forgiveness from the victim’s family.” At the time of writing, the execution has not been reported by domestic media or officials in Iran.
