IRAN HANGS MAN CONVICTED OF MURDER

an Iranian man convicted of murdering a police officer was hanged in the northern town of Tonekabon, Mazandaran province, a press report said. The man identified as Mehdi Susan-Bahari had stabbed an officer to death in 2005, Kayhan newspaper said.
The report did not say when the execution was carried out or whether he was hanged in public.
