IRAN HANGS TWO INMATES IN RAJAEI SHAHR PRISON OF KARAJ

Two prisoners were executed in Rajaei Shahr Prison of Karaj, west of Tehran. The prisoners, Mojtaba Asadi and an Afghan man, Vahidollah Loghmani were found guilty of murder and were transferred to solitary confinement on August 27.
A source said that the Afghan man, Vahidollah Loghmani, 54, had been imprisoned since 22 years ago and he was on hunger strike with his lips sewn when he was transferred to solitary confinement.
Another prisoner, Shams Ali Abdollahi was due to be hanged on the same day but his execution was stayed at the last minute.
